Just watched Shutter Island last Sunday, and it turned out to be another movie that has an unexpected ending, or maybe not so unexpected to some ppl.
The point here is the character played by DiCaprio, Teddy. The marshal got home then found his three kids drowned by the depressed wife. He loved her very much, yet he couldn't accept the fact, thus, he shot her in despair. And he'd been haunted by the tragedy ever since.
I thought Teddy's mental problem reappeared at last, but it's said that he was faking it, so that the surgery'd be undergone, and he might be free from those terrible meories...
He (DiCaprio) works really hard, doesn't he?
